Aliro is loosely derived from earlier work and also incorporates code from other open source projects, in the spirit of open source. Aliro wishes to give full credit to the benefit it has obtained from other open source work.
Because Aliro has been primarily written by Martin Brampton, for a time leader of the development team for Mambo and author of much of the new code for Mambo 4.6, Aliro can be said to derive from Mambo. This derivation is fully acknowledged as is the fact that copyright in the Mambo code (not including code written by Martin Brampton for which copyright belongs to him) belongs to the Mambo Foundation. The vast majority of the Aliro code is completely new, but it is possible to find sections that derive directly from Mambo. For any additional information on Mambo, please refer to the Mambo Foundation web site.
Aliro incorporates code from other open source projects, sometimes with a degree of modification, and again wishes to give full credit to those projects for their excellent work.
